Social Care Recruitment – Most Services are Performing Well

New Benchmark review shows that most Social Care services are performing well. In the face  of some recent criticism, the majority of local councils actually deserve credit for their overall approach to safeguarding the elderly during times or recession, according to a new review carried out by agencies from the sector.

The initiative – ‘Towards Excellence in Adult Social Care’ (TEASC) estimates that 63% of service users are actually satisfied with the care they they receive, and many local authorities have been  reduced the number of people causing hospital bed-blocking because of care funding delays.

Despite this it has undoubtedly been tough for Social Care Workers. The main challenges have been safeguarding quality through austerity. Social Care Recruitment has also been an issue, in getting qualified staff to full ever-competitive vacancies, coping with a rising level of demand.
